Dec. 20, 1949 - Sept. 28, 2016 EDMOND Linda Carol Walthall Taylor was born Dec. 20, 1949, in Sherman, TX into the family of Joe L. and Doris Walthall. She died on Sept. 28, 2016, surrounded by her family in Edmond, OK. She married Lawrence "Larry" Taylor, and together, they were blessed with 46 years of marriage. Linda is survived by her husband, Larry; daughter, Heather Taylor Covarrubia and her husband Rick; son, Marc L. Taylor and his wife Erin; and grandchildren, Rebecca and Cory Covarrubia and Samuel and Merideth Taylor, all of Edmond, OK. She is also survived by her mother, Doris Crosby Walthall; brother, Michael Walthall and his wife Kathy, of Sherman TX; sister, Lila Jo Walthall Martin, of Jacksonville, FL; brother-in-law, James and his wife Katherine; one uncle, Dile Ray Walthall; one aunt, Martha Crosby; along with four nieces and their children and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe L. Walthall; two aunts, two uncles; and grandparents. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Village Baptist Church on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 2 p.m. Visitation will be on Saturday, Oct. 8, 4-8 p.m. at Smith & Kernke N. May. Burial will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to any of the following organizations: The International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, Friendship International, Whiz Kids, and Faith Comes from Hearing.
