SHERMAN - A memorial service for Marc Randolph Thompson will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 29 at the Covenant Presbyterian Church. Rev. Neill Morgan of the church will officiate with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mr. Thompson, 63, passed away Wednesday, March 20 at Texoma Medical Center.

Marc was born Oct. 30, 1949 in Ft. Worth. He graduated from Sherman High School in 1968 and later from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Marc worked for more than 30 years as a striper guide on Lake Texoma as the owner of Marc Thompson's Striper Guide Service. He enjoyed people and made many friends throughout his life. Along with his outgoing personality, Marc will be remembered for his generous and charitable spirit. He hosted many parties and donated the benefits to Cook Children's Hospital and the St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Marc is survived by two sisters, Rebecca Thompson of Sherman and Sally Thompson McCommon and husband Michael of Whitney; one brother, Sam Thompson and wife Amy of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; two nieces, Holly Larsson and her husband Dean of Frisco, and Evie Thompson of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; three nephews, Jessie Shaw of Houston, Cyrus Thompson of Pacific Palisades, Calif., and Adrian Keaton and wife Trish of Plano; great nephew, Anakin Keaton; and great niece, Sophie Larsson. He was also survived by a host of friends that he considered his family. Marc was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest "Son" and Vernie (Henderson) Thompson.
