Carole Bates, 50-year-old Sherman resident, died Monday, June 5, 2000, at the North McKinney Nursing and Rehab Center in McKinney.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.

Surviving are her sons, Clayton Bates of Sherman and Kevin Bates of California; daughters, Melanie Drosche of Frisco and Mary Wells of Sherman; brothers, Alfred Piland of Sherman and Clifford Piland of Azle; father; Eli Piland of Bonham; and five grandchildren.

The family will be at Waldo Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until service time on Thursday.
