Glenna committed suicide on 4/10/2003.

SHERMAN - Glenna Louise Campbell Patton left this world to be with the Lord, April 10, 2003.  She will always be remembered for being a beautiful and loving wife, mother and friend.  Her passion was helping other people and passing on a positive energy to everyone around her.

She was born in Sherman, Texas, on February 28, 1950, to Robert Lee Campbell and Jean H. Campbell.  She attended The University of Texas at Austin where, much later than expected, she graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts.  Glenna was a life long "Horns" fan.

Glenna married Tommy Patton on December 14, 1968, in Sherman, Texas.  Later, she was the mother of three children, Garrett, Shea, and Nathan.  She could be seen all over town in her brown jeep with her three boys, taking them wherever they might have needed to go.

She was a very dedicated wife and mother who put everyone's needs before her own.

Glenna and Tommy, after living in Sherman, moved to Sadler, Texas and lived there for the last twelve years. 

Glenna was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Campbell III.  She is survived by her husband, Tommy; her three sons and daughter-in-laws, Garrett and Janetta Patton of Sherman, Shea and Jennifer Patton of Highland Village, and Nathan Patton of Sherman; one granddaughter, Zoe Patton; her mother, Jean Campbell of Sherman; sisters and brother-in-law, Donna and David Davis of Florence, Texas, and Marty Heilman of Georgetown, Texas.  As well as many aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be in her name to charities of preference, or even better, go help someone in need.

A memorial service and family visitation will be held Monday, April 14th in the Dannel Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman at 7 p.m.

A memory book will be available at the visitation for family and friends to contribute a special picture or story of remembrance as a tribute and celebration of her life.
